Difference between Start workflow and Cold Start workflow in Informatica

Cold Start means that Integration Service will restart a task or workflow without recovery. You can restart task or workflow without recovery by using a cold start.
 

When you do Start Workflow then it will recover the workflow from the point of interruption by default.
